Pigment Pretty Plantings

Ever since we got a new batch of amazing-looking cacti and succulents for our Plant Lab we’ve been going “planting-crazy!” I mean….

Pigment

One of our favorite little guys, the Thimble Cactus, gathered with a blooming Echeveria.

The little purple cactus is aptly named the Rainbow Hedgehog Cactus.

String of Pearls are perfect for draping over a hanging pot. The Black Prince Echeveria sits atop its throne in the middle of this organic planting.

This fuzzy little cacti is sweetly named Angel Wings, but that doesn’t mean they won’t still prick ya!

All these lovelies are available in-store only. Get them while they’re hot!, because they’re going fast.

For those of you who are’t in San Diego, we also carry some varieties online here (with more to come): http://www.shoppigment.com/succulents/

Plant away!! – Pigment

Pigment is Growing (up)…

After five and a half years Pigment secured a new lease in a new home just two doors from the old space, and it is bittersweet to leave the place where it all started. Humble beginnings come to mind when thinking of the genesis of Pigment (then known as Kalos Designs). Initially a shared space with Kate Ross Shoes, it functioned primarily as a space to display Amy’s artwork. In time, they featured other talented artists, Ramone Zarate of Autonomous Design Studio and Britt Neubacher of Tend Living were among the firsts. Store music blared from a small boom box and a one year old puppy named Cash greeted you at the door.  A year later and a name change to Pigment, the modest storefront grew into a full fledged lifestyle store. After five years we found ourselves growing, growing, growing! So much so that we moved into a bigger space.

Tipis (or teepees?)!!!

Hi friends. How’s it going? As we go about our work week (Mondays…..), we can’t help but share that we’re currently daydreaming about tipis or teepees, whichever you prefer, in all they’re conical beauty. Design in its simplest form.

Voluspa // A Special Collection

Introducing the new L. Florem Collection by one of our favorite candle and fragrance lines, Voluspa. A perfect way to ring in the sweet smell of Spring. The collection was inspired by Classic Flowers, Hidden Groves and Lush Seaside Gardens.

Temple Grove in pretty pinks and peaches. A happy blend of Apricot, Peach Fruit and Leaves, Kumquat, Grapefruit Rinds and Citrus Blossom.

The Tiare collection brings a new light on the classic blossom scents with Tiare Blooms, Honey Milk, Coconut husk and fruit and Freesia stalks and blooms.

Voluspa And this time around we have a special connection to their latest line. Pigment owner and artist Amy Paul was commissioned by Voluspa to design the packaging for this collection. The collaboration resulted in the beautys you’re looking at right now; the perfect combination of artistry and design.
